Last Spring we were spoiled with record high temperatures, which has made it that much harder to stomach the FOUR April snowstorms we've had this year. Nevertheless, I think it's safe to say that Spring is here for good. (At least it better be or I'm packing my bags). Over the course of the week we have gone from a winter wonderland to green(ish) grass and birds chirping. What a difference a few days makes... This was Jackson on Tuesday, posing at the park, after our most recent dousing of snow.
Here he is this morning, just 3 days later, in the same spot! That's Minnesota weather for you.
Today, we've had our first taste of 60 degree weather since November. Oh, how I've missed the feeling of warm sun on my skin! I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and can get outside to enjoy the 70+ degree weather we're supposed to have. I can hardly contain my excitement!!

March Monthly Challenge- Interesting Perspectives
This was another tough one for me because I'm still trying to master basic things like focus, white balance, and exposure. Composition and creativity often take a (very far) back seat- there's just so much to think about! Plus, my favorite subject is a 2 year old who has had more than enough of mommy's pictures and absolutely will not pose for me (notice that he is being held in both of these pictures). Sometimes I'm lucky and everything just falls into place, other times I end up with a bunch of pictures that are lacking something... I had this "interesting perspectives" idea in the back of my head all month and tried out lots of things that failed horribly and some things that sort-of worked... Even though I'm not completely satisfied with what I came up with, I'm thankful that this challenge pushed my creativity and got me thinking more deliberately about my perspective. Here are a couple of my favorites:
I'm so excited to see what everyone else came up with! I'm sure they were all far more creative than I was! First, head over and see what Jessica has in store. Then check out the other ladies in our circle: Angie, Caristy, Angela, Maria, Gina, Anne-Lise, Courtney, Megan, Rebecca, Muriel, Sarah, Ana, and Pam.

Easter Festivities
This was the first year that Jackson actually got excited about Easter. It all started when we visited the Easter Bunny at the mall a few weeks ago. Jackson isn't a very cautious kid, but we weren't quite sure what he'd think of a human sized rabbit. Let's face it, they can be pretty creepy. If you don't believe me check this out. Thankfully, our bunny was pretty normal looking in comparison and Jackson absolutely LOVED him. He snuggled right in and went back for several hugs. (I'm not sure why he looks a little apprehensive in the picture).
Jackson talked about the Easter Bunny every day after that. Next year we won't go quite so early because the anticipation was almost too much for him to handle! The day before Easter Jackson dyed eggs for the first time. We had so much fun!
That evening we had a delicious Easter dinner at Grandma Hacker's. The next morning Jackson was up bright and early and was thrilled to find his two baskets on the dining room table.
We had a mini-Easter egg hunt around our house and then headed to my side of the family to celebrate after Jackson's nap. He had a great time running around and exploring every nook and cranny of my aunt's house. Even under the table cloth...
It was pretty cold out, but he was able to burn off a little energy outside.
I even got him to sit still, for a very brief moment, so I could get a picture (a smile was way too much to ask).
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!
